The Scottish Maritime Museum has launched a brand new children’s trail across the vast, glass-roofed Linthouse on Irvine Harbourside.
Visitors of all ages are invited to help Bosun the Cat find the sneaky ship’s rats hiding across the Museum.
The new Bosun the Cat Children’s Trail is suitable for all ages and everyone can pick up a Trail sheet at reception and a certificate at the end.
The trail is part of the Museum experience and up to three children can visit for FREE with each paying adult admission.
Stuart Rich, Visitor Services Manager at the Scottish Maritime Museum, explains:
We opened our first children’s trail five years ago and it has been hugely popular ever since. Now that the Museum is open once again, we thought it would be a great time to shake it up a little!
“Now, it appears that our usually reliable rat catcher Bosun has fallen asleep whilst trying to round up all the pesky ship’s rodents playing around the Linthouse and we need some help rounding them up! The new trail is a lot of fun and everyone goes away with a certificate celebrating their top detective work!”
The Scottish Maritime Museum, which is open daily, 10am – 5pm, is also set to add a ‘Summer Boat Trail soon.
