SCOTTISH MARITIME MUSEUM IN DUMBARTON LAUNCHES NEW WEEKLY TODDLER SONG AND PLAY SESSIONS!

‘LITTLE GUPPIES’
Every Wednesday from 8 June

The Scottish Maritime Museum on Castle Street, Dumbarton, has announced a new weekly song and play group for toddlers will open on Wednesday 8 June.

The hour-long ‘Little Guppies’ sessions will take place between 10am and 11am every Wednesday from 8 June as well as on one Saturday each month beginning with Saturday 2 July.

During the sessions, participating children under five will enjoy stories, songs, dancing and playing with toys.

Tickets for the ‘Little Guppies’ sessions are priced £2 for one Adult and one Child. Tickets for additional children in the family or group are just 50p.

Sarah Takhar, Learning and Access Officer at the Scottish Maritime Museum, says:

We’re thrilled to launch our toddler play group. The Museum is all about blending fun and education and we have long wanted to begin a regular children’s group to engage our younger audience.

“Laura and other members of the Visitor Services Team at the Denny Tank have created a fantastic programme of activities and we can’t wait to open our doors to our youngest visitors on Wednesday 8 June!”

All children attending the ‘Little Guppies’ sessions must be accompanied by an adult throughout.

Advance booking at www.scottishmaritimemuseum.org is highly recommended.

The Scottish Maritime Museum in Dumbarton is located on the site of the former, world famous William Denny and Brothers Shipyard and features the world’s first commercial ship model experiment tank, the Denny Ship Model Experiment Tank.
