Scottish Maritime Museum Announces Easter Eggstravaganza at Irvine & Dumbarton

The Scottish Maritime Museum gets set to welcome visitors to a bumper programme of family fun at Irvine and Dumbarton over the Easter school holidays.

IRVINE

Families visiting the Museum on Irvine Harbourside between Saturday 30 March and Sunday 14 April will enjoy a host of activities.

Over the Easter weekend, everyone can hunt for eggs in the Easter Egg Hunt, get creative with drop in Easter arts and crafts activities and enjoy games like Pin the Tail on the Bunny, Easter Bingo, Guess the Bunny’s Name and more.

After the Easter Weekend, visitors can drop in between 10am – 4pm and enjoy different Easter craft activities each day, from making and decorating salt dough eggs, cotton wool lambs and Easter maracas to DIY stained glass.

The Museum also invites everyone to join in Harbourside in Miniature and help build a tiny town by the sea! Everyone can imagine and craft their own addition, from a house, yacht, Puffer or marine life.

The drop in Harbourside in Miniature sessions will run 10.30am-12pm and 1.30pm-3.30pm on Tuesday 2, Thursday 4, Saturday 6, Tuesday 9, Thursday 11 and Saturday 13 April and are suitable for children aged 3 – 16 years of age.

 DUMBARTON

Families visiting the Museum on Castle Street, on Easter Saturday (30 March) and over the following fortnight, except Sundays, can enjoy an Easter Trail and get creative with Easter arts and crafts.

The drop in ‘Make and Take’ crafting activities will change daily and include making Easter cards, crowns and spring lambs as well as Easter chick decorations.

The drop in sessions will run from 10am – 3pm daily.
