Research
If you have an enquiry relating to the the Scottish Maritime Museum’s collection please complete the form at the bottom of this page and we will try to provide you with an answer as soon as possible. We will endeavour to spend up to 45 minutes on each research enquiry, but cannot offer a full research service due to staff time.
Alternatively, the Maritime Museum has an extensive Library that can be accessed by appointment. On our shelves are a variety of maritime periodicals, journals, monographs and the Lloyd’s Register of Ships.
Please note that we do not conduct genealogical research or hold passenger lists, shipping timetables or extensive Royal or Merchant Navy records – for these please contact National Records Scotland or the National Archives.
