To support an upcoming 2026 exhibition “Harbour and Horizon”, join us at a FREE drop-in session on the 12th of November (1-4pm) or the 15th of November (10:30-12:30pm) at the Scottish Maritime Museum in Irvine and also on the 19th of November (11-12:30pm) at Dumbarton Library. It is a chance to explore photos and artwork telling stories of harbour life and life at sea. These relaxed sessions are an opportunity to learn about others experiences and share you own if you wish.

There is no need to book. Drop in any time during the session and enjoy a hot cuppa and biscuits while you browse through the photos and artwork we have available.

We are also keen to hear from anyone who has their own harbour stories or memories of life at sea that would be interested in providing an oral history of their experiences that could be included in the exhibition.
