In light of the developments in the current Coronavirus (Covid-19) situation, the Scottish Maritime Museum have taken the necessary decision to cancel Woven Waves: The Battle of Jutland Tour and Q&A

To mark the closing of the insightful and poignant Woven Waves: The Jutland Tapestries exhibition, artist Katie Russell will be leading a guided tour of her accomplished solo exhibition. She will answer your questions and discuss her motivations behind the project, her use of maritime history within her tapestry weaves and why she feels the Battle of Jutland still resonates the British public today. During her research Katie visit Norway’s Sea War Museum and weavers in Germany. Join her as she looks back at this research visit and answers your questions.

2pm: Arrival

2.15pm: Introduction about artist Katie Russell

2.20 pm – 3.20: Woven Waves exhibition tour

3.20 – 3.30: Comfort break

3.30pm – 4pm: Q&A with Katie Russell hosted by Nicola Scott, Exhibition & Events Officer at the Scottish Maritime Museum
