The ‘Scales of the World’ project has been created by artist Alex Rigg along with his original and captivating dance-theatre company Oceanallover. They invite you to explore reality and your place in the world through an allegorical tale told through music, dance, costume, prose and poetry.
This event celebrates the launch of a limited edition hand-bound book, written by Alex Rigg and bound by Gillian Stewart of Juju Books.
Follow a sailmaker and salter on a journey to find a release from the structures and strictures of their lives, in a live performance from Oceanallover not to be missed!
Experience mystery, transmutation and transcendence in this exciting, visual and allegorical tale told through music, dance, costume and words.
The meeting time at the Nature Library is 2pm and heading over for arrival at the Maritime Museum around 2.30pm
The performance concludes at 3.30pm when guests are invited to return to The Nature Library for a talk on the new, limited edition hand-bound book written by Alex Rigg of Oceanallover and bound by Gillian Stewart of Juju Books or enjoy the wider Museum with a discounted admission of 50% off the regular ticket price.
