The Ayrshire Makers Market, which is part of Scotland’s new seaside festival ‘Making Waves’ happening in the Harbourside area of Irvine, has over thirty stalls bringing you the very best of local artisan products. The stalls will be arranged around the the main Linthouse gallery, the education room and overflowing outside.
The Market is free to enter and although some of the exhibits will be partually hidden by the stalls you will have access to the Sea Monsters Exhibition and the showing of Harbour Stories Short Films.
Other activities and exhibitors include the Kilmarnock Model Railway Club will also be on show with their popular Thomas the Tank Engine layout and the RNLI will bring a manificent display of model lifeboats.
The Museum Courtyard will host some free activites including traditional fairground games and activities will include ‘Hook-a-Duck’, ‘Hoopla’ and ‘Ball in a Bucket’ and a giant inflatable ‘Helter Skelter’ slide.
Over at the Boat pond, for those wanting to refuel in between all the activity, Reggaelicious Food Truck will be on hand, serving up a delicious taste of the Caribbean and Irvine Model Boat Club will display and sail model boats inclusing scale replicas of two of the Museum’s most popular historic vessels.
The Making Waves Festival utalising the Irvines Harourside and Beach Park will be providing top-quality family activities on and off the water which everyone can enjoy, including live music, water sports, seaside amusements attracting visitors from far and wide.
