One of his rare works to feature a boat, Scottish Colourist Cadell gifted this painting of a puffer to the sister-in-law of former Prime Minister H.H. Asquith on the occasion of her wedding in 1934. The pier at Cove on the Rosneath Peninsula was often used for popular pleasure cruising and commuting in the 19th century’.
