Art Collection

The Scottish Maritime Museum has an ambitious programme to create a nationally significant art collection to enrich the nationally recognised maritime heritage collection.

SMMart: Enriching the Imagery of Scotland’s Maritime Heritage has been made possible by a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund’s Collecting Cultures programme.

Significant acquisitions have also been made with the additional assistance of Art Fund and the National Fund for Acquisitions.

The project was completed in 2019.
